Folake Favour Nwachukwu
Painter, potter and teacher at Onitsha Studio
- 🇳🇬 Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria
- Onitsha Studio
- 1985 to 2012
- English, Hausa
I work mostly in oil painting, sometimes sculpture. My first show was in 1985 at Onitsha Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Onitsha Studio, which keeps me honest.
More about Folake
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Folake: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
