Victoria needs a specialist standing frame that the health system won't fund; the cost is $7,100.

I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,100.
My current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $7,100 goes:
• specialist standing frame: $6,500
• Fitting and training sessions: $160
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• First-year servicing plan: $275

What exactly is the $7,100 for?
Sure. The biggest one is specialist standing frame, $6,500. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
