Florence Atim Mutua
Self-taught embroidery artist
- 🇰🇪 Kasarani, Nairobi, Kenya
- Old Kasarani Studio
- Since 2002
- English, Swahili
I got into embroidery as a hobby and somewhere along the way it became the thing I do every day.
I also teach a weekly class at Old Kasarani Studio, which keeps me honest.
More about Florence
I've had 4 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Florence: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
