I coached chess at Bandung Athletic Club from 1995 to 2022. Most of my players were between 10 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
More about Fani
If you played for me, you probably remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
What gifts mean to Fani: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
