Eugene R. Castillo
Master of shoemaking, now teaching apprentices
- 🇺🇸 Montgomery, Alabama, United States
- Old Parkside Works
- 2015 to 2025
- English, French
My trade is shoemaking. I opened my own shop in 2015 in Montgomery and I'm still there most mornings.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I garden badly but happily.
More about Eugene
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Eugene: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
