Esra Esra Şahin
Agriculture and English literature teacher, Istanbul

I teach agriculture at Istanbul Middle School in Istanbul since 1996. Most days I teach primary school children, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Esra
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.

What gifts mean to Esra: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me agriculture in 2000 at Istanbul Middle School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.

I failed agriculture twice before you. After you I passed with a B. Thank you. Greetings from Heraklion.
