I coached baseball at San Nicolás de los Garza Football Club from 1980 to 2015. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Esperanza: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2017. I still hear your voice on the sideline! Greetings from Los Angeles.
