I coached tennis at San Diego Football Club from 1989 to 2022. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Enrique
If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.
What gifts mean to Enrique: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
