Emilio E. Mendoza
Cross country coach, Ashford Athletic Club
- 🇪🇸 Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Spain
- 1979 to 1997
- English, Spanish
I coached cross country at Ashford Athletic Club from 1979 to 1997. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
