Elif Leyla Yılmaz
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇹🇷 Bursa, Bursa, Türkiye
- Bursa Youth Club
- 1982 to 2012
- English, Turkish
For 30 years I ran the chess program at Bursa Youth Club in Bursa. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
