Dr. Nishimura
Professor of astronomy, Silverlake Polytechnic
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Silverlake Polytechnic
- Since 2008
- Japanese
I've spent 18 years as a lecturer in astronomy at Silverlake Polytechnic in Tokyo. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Dr. Nishimura
Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
What gifts mean to Dr. Nishimura: Any gift helps me keep buying books for students who can't afford them.
