I've spent 15 years as a lecturer in computer science at Tuxtla Gutiérrez College in Tuxtla Gutiérrez. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

What gifts mean to Dr. Lara: I'd put a gift toward a student bursary.
