I've spent 39 years as a lecturer in education at Lakeview State University in Manukau. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I garden badly but happily.
I'm still learning every day.
