Dorcas Wanjiru Okello
Self-taught ceramics artist
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Studio
- Since 1997
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes street art. My first show was in 1997 at Nairobi Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I always make time for a proper cup of tea. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
What gifts mean to Dorcas: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
