Deepika Seneviratne
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Boxing Gym
- 1986 to 2022
- English, Sinhala
For 36 years I ran the chess program at Colombo Boxing Gym in Colombo. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

you coached me in 1998. I still hear your voice on the sideline! Thank you again.
