Deepa S. Menon
Musician with Mumbai Ensemble
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Ensemble
- Since 1989
- English
I play oud and classical. I started in 1989 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 10 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I run most mornings.
More about Deepa
I write my first song when I was 20. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Deepa: I'd put a gift toward recording a small album.
