Coach Utami
Coached rugby for 48 years in Jakarta
- 🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
- Jakarta Beacon Swimming Club
- Since 1978
- English, Indonesian
I've coached rugby at Jakarta Beacon Swimming Club since 1978. Most of my players were between 11 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I write a short note to every student at the end of term.

If you played for me, you probably remember the day we all got the giggles in assembly.

What gifts mean to Coach Utami: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
