Coach Tharindu
Chess and fitness coach, Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Community Club
- Since 1994
- English, Sinhala, Spanish
I've coached chess at Colombo Community Club since 1994. Most of my players were between 12 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
What gifts mean to Coach Tharindu: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
