Coach Tharindu
Athletics coach, Colombo Football Club
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Football Club
- Since 1998
- English, Sinhala
I've coached athletics at Colombo Football Club since 1998. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Tharindu
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Tharindu: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
