Coach Stella
Chess coach, Geelong Sports Club
- 🇦🇺 Geelong, Victoria, Australia
- Geelong Sports Club
- Since 1996
- English
I've coached chess at Geelong Sports Club since 1996. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Stella: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
