Coach Sophia
Chess and fitness coach, Dayton
- 🇺🇸 Dayton, Ohio, United States
- Dayton Community Club
- 1982 to 2011
- English
For 29 years I ran the chess program at Dayton Community Club in Dayton. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learned every name in the first week.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Coach Sophia: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
