Coach Seung-woo
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇰🇷 Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea
- Gangnam Eastgate Swimming Club
- Since 1991
- English, Korean
I've coached rowing at Gangnam Eastgate Swimming Club since 1991. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Seung-woo: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
