Coach Sachiko
Youth rowing coach and mentor
- 🇯🇵 Nagoya, Aichi, Japan

- 1997 to 2014
- Japanese
I coached rowing at Nagoya Swimming Club from 1997 to 2014. Most of my players were between 9 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

What gifts mean to Coach Sachiko: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand. Best summer of my life! Greetings from Reading.
