Coach Saba
Coached boxing for eight years in Addis Ababa
- 🇪🇹 Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Addis Ababa Sports Club
- 2017 to 2025
- English
For eight years I ran the boxing program at Addis Ababa Sports Club in Addis Ababa. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.
More about Coach Saba
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Saba: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 2018. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Nottingham.
