Coach Rose
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Since 2011
- English, Swahili
For 15 years I've run the chess program at Kilimanjaro Youth Club in Mukono. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm learning the guitar.
More about Coach Rose
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Rose: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 2012. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Gazipur.
