Coach Roman
Coached rugby for 28 years in Kyiv
- 🇺🇦 Kyiv, Kyiv, Ukraine
- Kyiv Elmwood Swimming Club
- Since 1998
- English, Ukrainian
I've coached rugby at Kyiv Elmwood Swimming Club since 1998. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Roman
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Roman: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
