I've coached netball at Manila Community Club since 1978. Most of my players were between 10 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I answer every email, even at midnight.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
What gifts mean to Coach Perla: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
