I coached volleyball at Syracuse Silverlake Sports Club from 2005 to 2020. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I played music while people worked.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
