Coach Owen
Chess and fitness coach, Charlotte
- 🇺🇸 Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
- 1994 to 2025
- English
For 31 years I ran the chess program at Charlotte Swimming Club in Charlotte. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
What gifts mean to Coach Owen: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

you coached me in 2024. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Niterói.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
