Coach Orlando
Youth dance coach and mentor
- šµš Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines
- Manila Boxing Gym
- 1986 to 2000
- English, Filipino, Spanish
For 14 years I ran the dance program at Manila Boxing Gym in Manila. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Coach Orlando
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

What gifts mean to Coach Orlando: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

You coached me in 1994. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Gaziantep.
