Coach Oky
Youth table tennis coach and mentor
- 🇮🇩 Malang, East Java, Indonesia
- Malang Sports Club
- 1983 to 1999
- English, Indonesian
For 16 years I ran the table tennis program at Malang Sports Club in Malang. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Coach Oky: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
