Coach Nuwan
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- Colombo Beacon Community Club
- Since 1996
- English, Sinhala
For 30 years I've run the chess program at Colombo Beacon Community Club in Colombo. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I'm still learning every day.
What gifts mean to Coach Nuwan: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.

I still think about the cold winter when we all kept our coats on. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Nsukka.
