Coach Nancy
Youth baseball coach and mentor
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Kinondoni Football Club
- Since 2016
- English, Swahili
I've coached baseball at Kinondoni Football Club since 2016. Most of my players were between 9 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Nancy
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Nancy: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
