Coach Mbali
Football and fitness coach, Sandton
- 🇿🇦 Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa
- Sandton Swimming Club
- 1987 to 2013
- English, Afrikaans
I coached football at Sandton Swimming Club from 1987 to 2013. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Mbali
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Mbali: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
