I'm a softball coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 1,090 kids fall in love with the game.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Coach Maricel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Maricel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
