Coach Marcel
Coached chess for 20 years in Dortmund
- 🇩🇪 Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
- Sakura Community Club
- Since 2006
- English, German
I've coached chess at Sakura Community Club since 2006. Most of my players were between 10 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I learn every name in the first week.
More about Coach Marcel
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Marcel: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
