Coach Luke

Youth chess coach and mentor

I've coached chess at Bristol Athletic Club since 1982. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I fix old bicycles. I'm still learning every day.
