I coached rowing at Sydney Swimming Club from 2003 to 2021. Most of my players were between 11 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Coach Lincoln
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Lincoln: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
