I coached chess at Anaheim Westbrook Sports Club from 1993 to 2003. Most of my players were between 12 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Coach Lin: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
