Coach Lestari

Youth rugby coach and mentor

  • 🇮🇩 Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia
  • Central Boxing Gym
  • 1978 to 1996
  • English, Indonesian
For 18 years I ran the rugby program at Central Boxing Gym in Jakarta Barat. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
