Coach Kipchoge
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Jinja Football Club
- 1981 to 2014
- English
For 33 years I ran the chess program at Jinja Football Club in Jinja. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Coach Kipchoge
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Kipchoge: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
