For 32 years I've run the hockey program at Meadowbank Boxing Gym in Bekasi. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
More about Coach Jihan
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Jihan: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
