I coached softball at Laredo Swimming Club from 1984 to 2012. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
