Coach Jack
Youth football coach and mentor
- 🇺🇸 Bakersfield, California, United States
- Bakersfield Baobab Swimming Club
- 2013 to 2021
- English, Spanish
I coached football at Bakersfield Baobab Swimming Club from 2013 to 2021. Most of my players were between 11 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Coach Jack
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Jack: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
