Coach Irfan

Youth chess coach and mentor

  • 🇮🇩 Yogyakarta, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
  • Yogyakarta Athletic Club
  • 1980 to 2013
  • English
I coached chess at Yogyakarta Athletic Club from 1980 to 2013. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday. I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.

I still think about that terrible school play. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Kakamega.
