I've coached netball at San Diego Boxing Gym since 1978. Most of my players were between 8 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Coach Irene
If you played for me, you probably remember the long bus ride home.
What gifts mean to Coach Irene: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
