Coach Hamisi

Coached martial arts for eight years in Dar es Salaam

  • 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Dar es Salaam Football Club
  • 1996 to 2004
  • English
I'm a martial arts coach. I never went pro, but I got to see 430 kids fall in love with the game. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I sing in a choir.

More about Coach Hamisi

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

You coached me in 2015. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Dar es Salaam.

I still think about the long bus ride home. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Detroit.
