Coach Goro
Youth cricket coach and mentor
- 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
- St. Mary's Swimming Club
- 1981 to 2016
- Japanese
I coached cricket at St. Mary's Swimming Club from 1981 to 2016. Most of my players were between 8 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Coach Goro
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Goro: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
