Coach Githinji
Swimming and fitness coach, Mukono
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Hillcrest Swimming Club
- 1985 to 1998
- English, Swahili
For 13 years I ran the swimming program at Mukono Hillcrest Swimming Club in Mukono. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Coach Githinji
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Githinji: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
