I coached cricket at Catania Youth Club from 1988 to 2011. Most of my players were between 9 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
What gifts mean to Coach Elisa: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
